Welcome to Oregon, a place I have the good fortune to call home.  Oregon is truly beautiful.  I know there are numerous places that the same can be said of, yet there is something special about this land.  Living in the lushness of the Willamette Valley it takes one only a small road trip in any direction to be in a completely different landscape, a stunning one!

A one hour drive will lead you to the Pacific Coast where one never knows what will greet them. At times it is quite dramatic and others times beautifully peaceful.

Not very far away if you choose to head east the mountains will greet you.

But don’t stop There! Keep going, preferably on the back roads where a different world waits.

With almost 80,000 miles of roads in Oregon a road trip will take a long time but oh the places you will discover! My advice is take the road less traveled.  A road map, a cooler of food and an open mind gets a long way.

“All the wild world is beautiful, and it matters but little where we go, to highlands or lowlands, woods or plains, on the sea or land or down among the crystals of waves or high in a balloon in the sky; through all the climates, hot or cold, storms and calms, everywhere and always we are in God’s eternal beauty and love. So universally true is this, the spot where we chance to be always seems the best.”  John Muir
